Hello Hive.

Happy new day to us all, I hope that we all had a restful night and are much more refresh to face another day. For us here it has been peaceful and restful all through the night with a continuous shower that lasted till the morning.

I'm usually very glad for night rains especially when they are not a form of heavy storms that can disturb our sleep. Night rains do not equally disturb our work schedule as what we basically do is go sleep at night.

Rains that falls during the day are usually very disturbing and can hinder any of our work activities.

Yesterday we were able to continue the weeding of our beans farm and hopefully by today we would be clearing out all of our beans farms. Having done that we have passed by to check on the groundnuts and go prepare for harvest.
This is how we often know if our nuts are ready for harvest.

The leaves are burning out and turning yellow, they have completed their growth life cycle and have produced there foods, since there is nothing much again, they wither and die off. These plants can still be left to go for at least two more weeks so that the nuts underneath can be more matured and strong before they are harvested.

We do not like uprooting any of the plants to check if they are ripe before the day we decide to harvest everything. This is as a result of the number of people that will end up picking the nuts from here anytime they are passing once they notice that harvest is about to begin. Alot of people here do not grow groundnuts are always ready to steal from others

Hence we often remove any sign that harvest is begining until the day of harvest when we pick up everything at once.
