A firm stance, and a deep breath. That is what I am talking about. I think I needed to make a quick video and clarify some things, and also pour out a ridiculous amount of encouragement. disclaimer My camera man didn't notice I was blurry for about 2 minutes, but I didn't scrap the whole video. Bare with me haha.
This response video is a bit different than the ones I have been posting the last couple of days. I am not responding directly to something that has happened between Justin Sun and the Steem Witnesses. I am talking now about the real people, that are living real lives, but are coming online and tearing the world down.
I have been a part of several discords, and I have seen people absolutely tear each other down over a difference of opinion. I have seen hateful words, and I have even witnessed someone calling for violence.
I am all for freedom of speach, and I believe that we are able to say whatever we want. I do draw the line when someone actually says something that calls for any type of physical violence toward anyone. I'm not talking about hurt feelings, I'm talking about physical damage.
Yesterday in the P.A.L. discord server I actually saw someone call for someone to go to San Francisco and actually "pitchfork" Justin Sun. I have seen numerous references to this....and that doesn't even include all of the hateful racist comments.
Is that what is coming from the "community"?!! Why would anyone want to stand up for that!! Why would anyone want to fight along side a group of people that are clearly acting this way. If that is what being a "strong community" means....bro...I think they have missed it.
There is a difference between sticking together, and working through things together...and clearly going off of the rails.
So with all of that being said I have endured my own amount of trolling, and have even been called a troll. I am simply speaking right down the middle and calling it how I see it. With that being said....
My Steem Followers....I love Steem. I have been here for 2 and a half years. I have invested time, effort, energy, and money into this blockchain. I am in the same boat as everyone else. Just because I don't agree with the top 20, doesn't mean I hate the blockchain and everyone else involved.
My Tron Followers.... I have only known Justin Sun for a few weeks, and I am not in any position to have an opinion about his character. I look forward to seeing the outcome of this whole experience.
For all of my new followers and subscribers I would like to say.... I am more than this. Crypto is about 10% of what I actually do. It doesn't define who I am. I am a husband, a dad, a creator, a creation... I am passionate about my life, my adventure, and my experience. I love plant based food, spirituality, custom knife making, and in just about 8 weeks we are going on the road as full time nomads again.
If you are into all of those other things and my perspective on life.... Welcome aboard! Adventure is ahead. If you just came because you feel like I am siding with someone or that I might stir up some crap...well I might...haha but that is not what I am about..normally.
