The First Month’s HSBI Rewards for the FreeCompliments Community Have Been Sent Out – Plus, Additional Curation Methodology! June 2023

A couple of weeks ago, I outlined the benefits of joining and participating in the FreeCompliments Community. Subsequently, I created a job listing for someone to help me neatly compile the data so that I could send out all of aforementioned rewards.

Since that time, the FreeCompliments Community has experienced a wonderful increase in members and activity, and the quality of the submissions and comments is a blessing to see.

A few days ago, I sent out a bunch of the promised rewards (I have also been sending out rewards throughout the duration of the past few weeks).

The Rewards Sent Out on July 1st

Holy moly!

The best way to check whether you received the rewards that you were due is to check up HSBI’s website and input your username. You’ll go here, enter your username, then click on transaction history, and finally on sponsored HSBI. Look for hive-140084 under “sponsor.”

If I missed out sending you on any rewards, please let me know promptly so that I can correct it. It takes up to a day to process what I sent out, so if you don’t see it by now, I’ll send whatever you let me know is missing.

Additional Curation

Recently, @taskmanager introduced a mechanism for curation for those who own DHEDGE tokens. We can call the !DHEDGE command in order to send an upvote from one or more of DHEDGE’s accounts to upvote a post, based on the tags placed on the post. A vote which rewards Hive is the default, and other tags provide other 2nd-layer Hive tokens as a reward, so the more tags you have, the more you’ll earn from the vote!

In order to increase the power of this vote, we will be supporting DHEDGE’s initiative by sending HSBI Units to the @discohedge account (I’ll use Hive from my personal account to fund this). This will increase discohedge’s rewards from posts made from that account. That power is almost exclusively delegated towards the @dhedge account (a non-posting account), which increases its total rewards when votes payout after 7 days. Those payouts are then delegated towards @dhedge.bonus, which is the account that provides a Hive-based vote when the !DHEDGE command is summoned. Although there are a few steps in this confusing system, this is how the rewards are going to end up coming to you, the posters of the FreeCompliments Community.

I will also continue increasing my stake in dhedge so that the votes become stronger. I guess it’s time for me to bring in some Hive Power and delegate even more to dhedge!
