Hello Splinterfam and fellow Hivians...
I hope this entry finds you all in great shape and in great condition as well.

It has been a while, more than a month it seems, since I last posted or took a challenge due to not having a stable internet connection being in the middle of the sea...😂😂😂

Now that I am berthed here in Matadi, South Africa, I will try to create one or two depending on how long we are gonna stay here.

Hope you will once again grace my entry with a little moment of your precious time.

█▓▒▒░░░IMMORTALIS░░░▒▒▓█

I used this monster to counter any buff that the opponent might use to bolster their monster's magic attacks. Its VOID ability_void (1) - Copy.png ability will reduce the damaged received from magic attacks. All Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage. I say this is one if the summoner best suited to use when WANDS OUT ruleset is taking effect. Furthermore, this summoner will immediately take 1hp from all the opponent monsters right even before the attacks begin. Since the only monsters that can be used in this match are magic attack type monster, the other ability that it grants to ally monsters which is SHATTER ability_shatter.png can only be useful if the opponent uses a summoner that will make the magic attacks hit the armor first.

█▓▒▒░░░MAGI OF CHAOS░░░▒▒▓█

Magi of Chaos (1).png

With a limited amount of mana available, I need to carefully select the monsters that I will be using in this match. I needed to use a monster that can deal enough damage to the opponent since they might also choose the same summoner that I do so using a monster with only 1 magic attack in front will not do me any good and might result in me losing the battle. With that in thought, I selected MAGI OF CHAOS as my TANK. Its got high enough mana to last a few rounds with the support of my GOBLIN PSYCHIC which will continuously heal it every round.

█▓▒▒░░░REGAL PERYTON░░░▒▒▓█

I have a limited number of cards I can freely use in this round considering the ruleset. I have no choice but to select a low-powered monster. Although it has low attack power, I am hoping that with its hp, should it be ever placed in the forward position, it can somehow last long enough until my higher powered monsters can kill the opponents.

█▓▒▒░░░GOBLIN PSYCHIC░░░▒▒▓█

This monster has almost always been in my line-up. With its 2magic attack power and a little bit higher amount of hp, this is also a force to be reckoned with. It greatly supports the TANK with its TANK HEAL ability_tank-heal.png powers all the while dealing some major damage to the opponents.

█▓▒▒░░░SPIRIT HOARDER░░░▒▒▓█

Spirit Hoarder.png

I selected this monster as back support for my TAUNT monster by using its TRIAGE ability_triage.png ability. With this monster in the line-up, my TAUNT monster which will be the subject of focused attacks from the enemy can survive a little longer in the battlefield which in turn will directly be supporting my TANK.

█▓▒▒░░░MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN░░░▒▒▓█

Mycelic Slipspawn.png

The last to complete the line-up for this match is this TAUNTability_taunt.png monster. Its primary objective is to distract the enemy by receiving all the attacks that should have been aimed at my TANK. With this monster in the back of the line-up and receiving most of the damage, my TANK can have enough time to heal and deal more damage to the enemy. It has high high health points and also 2magic attack power and is supported by SPIRIT HOARDER.

These monsters completed my line-up for this match. They may be a little underpowered if left for themselves only but with the help of the summoner arming them with the much-needed defense, I can say they will be more than enough to put up a decent fight.

█▓▒▒░░░THE BATTLE░░░▒▒▓█

Kindly click the link above to see the actual battle.

When all the monsters has taken the battlefield I knew that I have more than just a fighting chance. Even with their summoner buffing their attack powers, the damage they can deal can be defended from and negated to some extent.

The Round 1 is opened by an attack from the two speedy monster from both sides which is both located in the 2nd Slot. The barrage of endless attacks then soon followed. Each attacker aiming to kill the targeted monster. With my TAUNT monster located in the back, the attack of the enemy is divided. While my attack is focused in the frontline since the TAUNT monster from the enemy side is situated out front. It seemed the opposing battle mage focused on its high hp alone that's why he placed it in the front. I used the divide and conquer tactic in this one so my TANK can last more rounds.
the 1st Round ended without any monster dying from both sides but it is noticeable that the opponent's TANK is greatly injured while mine is in full health. My backline which is my TAUNT monster is also noticeably healthier due to the fact that it is healed by my TRIAGE monsterimage.png

The Round 2 started with an open fire from my side this time. As usual, endless magic attacks filled the area and a few exchanges after the middle of the round, the enemy monster's TANK gave in and died.
image.png
All the while, my TANK is still in good health with more than half its initial health points intact. The power gap became more apparent this scenario.

With the opponent's TANK dying during this round, the numbers of monster in the field evens out. Both sides now have 5monsters each...excluding the summoner.
image.pngAnd you can see that my TANK is back in full health after being healed-out by GOBLIN PSYCHIC

The Round 3 came and went fast for both my TAUNT and the opponent's current TANK for this round. With my TAUNT monster being hit by a AFFLICTIONability_affliction.png my SPIRIT HOARDER cannot apply it's TRIAGEability_triage.png ability anymore. This resulted to MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN dying off in this round.
image.png

image.png

Also, right before this round ended, my TANK was also hit and infected by AFFLICTIONability_affliction.png.
image.pngThis also made GOBLIN PSYCHIC unbale to use its TANK HEALability_tank-heal.png ability...which in turn resulted in my TANK lose health points in the succeeding round.

With the power gap between each side getting more and more apparent, the Rounds 4-7 is a breeze.
image.pngHere you can see the enemy monster's final moments as it departed the battlefield. This sealed my victory for this match.

A monster with the AFFLICTIONability_affliction.pngability a powerhouse in any line-up...much more so are the monsters with TANK HEAL ability_tank-heal.png and TRIAGE ability_triage.png. They make great addition to your arsenals especially when thy are put forth together in the same battle. You can support your TANK and the backend monster so the most targeted ally monsters in your line up can be healed and stay in the battlefield... long enough to do some damages to enemy monsters same as this battle that you have witnessed.
