This time last year I was climbing Mount Kosciusko and it got me thinking how much my life has changed over the years. I now see and feel such a sense of freedom, peace and calmness whenever I get out into nature and just be.
For me, this is an escape. I’m finding being part of the 9-5 grind increasingly difficult and almost feel robotic everyday at work. This is another story in itself, but getting myself outside and climbing mountains brings me back to life and makes me so incredibly grateful that I can!!
I’ve been pretty fortunate to climb some incredible mountains and see some amazingly beautiful landscapes from a vantage point. My next goal is Rainbow Mountain in Peru - I just think it looks incredible and something I want to see first hand. I also read an article that listed the top mountains across the world to climb. I’ve climbed two of the top 5 - Mount Kosciusko and Mount Batur - with the other three being Everest, Kilamanjaro and Rainbow Mountain.
Life is definitely enriched by experiences and climbing these mountains for me, puts a lot of things into perspective.
I’m just so incredibly grateful for what I’ve experienced and so excited to experience more!
