I know that they are not related, but only two observances in the day.
So first I will share the mountains (5 shots), and then I will show you the rainbow that includes a surprise (5 shots).
I saw a light line of cloud on the surface below the top of the mountain range, and thankfully I knew that the clouds would gradually increase in size. To walk near the valleys of peace is always a great pleasure, as one can only wonder about the timeless durations of the old rocks and size. The mountains surely have seen it all over time, and if only they could talk, but they proudly bear their scars to show one how to survive in life.
Many wars took place over time, and the high spots of the mountains would always have been commandeered, as they gave the defenders an advantage point to fire on the enemy below. Not only that, but the storms have also, over time, battered the mountains and still they stand solid and in strength to show us how to endure. So yeah, we love walking in the silence near the mountains, and I think that many of you also do so.
The surprise was that I got a bird on the rainbow.
Sadly, it was just the start of the rainbow, as it did not fully develop, due to the strong winds blowing the clouds around. I took photos of the start of the rainbow, thinking that it will complete its curve run, but like I said it was an abortive rainbow attempt. Nevertheless, had I not been watching it, then I would not have seen the surprise.
Now watch this seagull flying towards the mountains.
This shot below excited me, and all the time I was saying yeah, yeah, yeah, birdie, fly towards the rainbow.
The bird must have heard me, as here he did cross the rainbow line. I clicked a bit early, as the bird was flying fast, but it was enough of a gift to me to get a bird even near the rainbow. Not too bad I think.
I could have divided this into two posts of views, with only five pictures each, but I think that it will be boring as I don't know if you agree, but two stories are always better than one, especially if they are different and unique. Maybe Mother Nature wanted to give me a gift with the gull on the rainbow, and sadly the rainbow had no chance of completion. We even jumped into the car to drive to a different spot where we could get a full rainbow on camera, but it never appeared.
We are having severe weather changes here across the country, and once again so many damages are caused by the demented winds. Imagine lying in bed at night, and then the roof above you disappears. The winds are so strong, that they close mountain passes scared of cross winds tipping heavy duty trucks over. Can you believe that they even blow walls and electrical poles over, dumping many areas into blackouts with no lights and electricity. That is only the tip of the iceberg, as the media has a ton of stories about the weather and the El Nino effect.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
