It happened quite a few winters ago. I took a walk to the bay here in my hometown. Throughout the day, the weather was changing, from sunny to heavy rain, then sunny again, and so on. It was late in the afternoon when I reached the peninsula called Vizula, close to the harbor. The sky was mostly blue with beautiful white clouds concentrated along the eastern horizon, and all kinds of scattered clouds displayed on the southern half of the celestial dome. It was a good day for photography, so I took a few shots that I'll show you right now in this post.

Here you can see the harbor and the clouds low along the horizon. The biggest boats in the picture are professional fishing boats. Some of them are equipped with purse seines for sardines; others have bottom trawls for various fish at the sandy or muddy bottom of the sea. The following photograph...

...but if you carefully compare all the details, you'll notice that the surface of the sea is quite different. The rain has started, creating a multitude of litlle dots on the water. After that short rain, just about ten minutes or so...

I mean, it was a double rainbow, actually. A rainbow with a bonus, you can say.

Here you can see the fluffy, angelic clouds above my hometown. The buildings are very small in the picture, but you can easily recognize the church that dominates the townscape. The following photograph...

This is another stretch of the harbor. You can see two boats on the buoys. The sky looks more dramatic here than in the previous shots.

The bay of Medulin, my hometown, is quite photogenic becouse it has many islets, inlets, and peninsulas.

This is another view of the town and its two-towered church. I mean, the distant town is barely visible, but it is there, right under the clouds spread along the horizon.

I zoomed in a bit more here, so the town is a bit more prominent in the picture. In the following photograph..

...I zoomed in even more. I probably zoomed in as much as I could.

And that's it. As always here on Hive, the photographs are my work.
