Today the forecast predicted rain so I decided to give myself a day off from the work at the farm and I went a morning walk with the dog. And although it did rain later in the day, the morning was totally enjoyable!

The last three years that I live in this village I see this view every day and I have taken tons of pictures in various weather conditions. Of course the fact that I never get bored of it doesn't mean that you also want to see the same view every now and then, so if you think you had enough of it, please let me know.

Fortunately even if the view is pretty much the same, the flora and the never resting nature are a constant input of new images. Spring is not here yet but I can smell in the air that it is coming!

Living in the village is not always easy and we miss a lot of things that in a city are considered essential. But when we get out of the house we have the mountains on the one side, the sea on the other and the thriving nature all around. Not bad for a compensation :)

I know that olive groves are hardly a virgin forest and they can't compete with the beauty or the biodiversity of a natural park but in areas with low intensity farming, like ours, you can feel the presence of nature and as a bonus there are plenty of dirty roads ideal for easy walking :)

As we were returning home the clouds become heavier and it was obvious that the rain is about to start. But I still had time for a few macro shots and a last look to the sea!

This is my contribution to the #wednesdaywalk challenge, created by tattoodjay@tattoodjay that urges us to take a walk and share our pictures and thoughts about it every Wednesday.
