Recovery Day 10 - Another little progress... my training diary entry from June 16 2026
(Here’s another nice snapshot I took while descending the Wendelstein.)
Hi Actifitters,
since I’ll definitely have to wait a good two weeks before I can swing my big backside back onto the bike saddle, I have to make do with what’s currently possible.
So, yesterday’s agenda once again included a few upper-body exercises, including close-grip push-ups. The following tables show where I stand when it comes to push-ups.
The next goal according to the training plan (42+):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 10 | 7 | 7 | max (min. 10) | 120 seconds |
My previous attempt (37):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 10 | 7 | 7 | 5 | 120 seconds |
My attempt yesterday (39):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 10 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 120 seconds |
As you can see, I managed to improve by two close-grip push-ups in the last set, which I was really happy about. I’m curious to see if I can reach the current training plan goal on my next attempt.
Today is another rest day, allowing my body to make the necessary adaptations to gear up for the next workout. Things are also looking pretty quiet at work right now, which means I can catch up on last night's World Cup matches on the side.
