(I took this photo the evening we were invited to a buffet dinner at the Mövenpick Hotel in Jomtien. After dinner, we strolled through the hotel's beautifully landscaped and illuminated garden. The buffet was located on the lower level.)

Hi Actifitters,

apparently, I tried to do too much too soon. While I actually feel quite alright, the data from my Garmin suggests otherwise. After almost a month in Thailand without much exercise, I probably overdid it with the cycling workouts. I only intended to train in Zone 2 yesterday, but after just a few minutes of pedaling, I moved into higher zones and simply pushed myself too hard.

Yesterday, I cycled a total of 41 kilometers in two sessions, which isn't actually that much compared to my training days before the vacation. At that time, however, my body was used to the training load. Now I first have to work my way back up to that training level.

Funnily enough, it was the values during the workout, rather than how I felt, that suggested I should slow down. My heart rate suddenly jumped above 170, even though I felt like I was around 150. I'd never experienced that before. Anyway,

I'm going to skip the workout entirely today and just go for my 15,000 steps.
