Im a bit of a gym rat.....ok im really into it. But not how your thinking, i hate working out my arms, i really hate doing benchpress or pushups, I like big compound movements. What are they? Deadlift, squat, benchpress and standing overhead press. Why do i prefer these? It really comes down to being functionally fit, as well as not wasting my time. I work a lot, I'm married and just plain busy with life, i don't have time to "bro it out" for 2 hours at a gym, i want to get in and get out, 1 hour max!
Think about how terrible it is standing around and waiting your turn for machines, stupid machines that "promise" to help you burn fat and build muscle better then anything else.
Wrong.
So what should you do if you don't know much about physical training?
Do the same thing your doing for Steem, READ, ASK QUESTIONS, WATCH TUTORIALS and repeat.
Compound movements work your entire body. Train your arms when you feel like it. Train your abs if you want. Its awesome. Plus you can still eat almost anything you want as long as you lift 3-5 times a week, and you'll get scary strong and start freaking wannabe bodybuilders out when your pushing more weight then them. Its funny.
No, you'll never be like the guys in these photos, they're freaks, but you'll get strong, and you'll feel good.
I'll be posting every Thursday regarding gym stuff, programs I'm on, lifting cues, and general applicable info.
