Recuerdos positivos de Caracas [🇪🇸 / 🇬🇧]

Saludos nuevamente. Estaba algo perdido de Hive, mis disculpas de antemano, acabé de retornar a mi hogar en Mérida y estas últimas semanas estuvieron muy movidas, todo salió bien gracias a Dios.

Hace poco, mencioné que estaba de viaje en la región capital, preparando algunas cosas para el retorno de mi hermana a Mérida.

Mientras estábamos tan ocupados haciendo de todo a la vez, logramos crear espacios para la recreación y en esta nueva ocasión, visitamos uno de los parques más emblemáticos de la región, el Parque del Este o como actualmente se le llama Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda.

Positive memories of Caracas

Greetings again. I was a bit lost from Hive, my apologies in advance, i just returned to my home in Merida and these last weeks were very busy, everything went well thank God.

A little while ago, i mentioned that i was traveling in the capital region, preparing some things for my sister's return to Merida.

While we were so busy doing everything at once, we managed to create spaces for recreation and on this new occasion, we visited one of the most emblematic parks in the region, Parque del Este or as it is now called Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda.

Dentro del parque, ya se aprecian los distintos caminos a recorrer dentro del parque. A la izquierda se pueden ver unos puestos de refrigerios y de regalos. A la derecha hay un pequeño anfiteatro y en el medio el camino entre árboles que tomamos.

Inside the park, you can already see the different paths to follow inside the park. To the left you can see some refreshment and gift stands. To the right there is a small amphitheater and in the middle the path between trees that we took.

Mientras avanzábamos, más caminos encontrábamos, nuestra solución fue irnos al lugar que más nos llamó la atención, ya con esto entendíamos que los otros caminos quedarían para visitar en otra ocasión, porque el parque es muy grande. Decidimos, subir una pequeña colina a mano derecha, fuera de los caminos de piedra para tratar de tener una vista de todo el parque.

As we advanced, we found more paths, our solution was to go to the place that caught our attention, and with this we understood that the other paths would be left to visit another time, because the park is very large. We decided to climb a small hill on the right hand side, off the stone paths to try to have a view of the entire park.

No se me ocurrió subirme en las piedras para tener una mejor foto jajaja, pero la vista me gustó, porque detrás de esos tupidos árboles aguardaban más caminos por explorar. Desde aquí pudimos apreciar que había una entrada para los vehículos, pero no nos ubicamos bien por donde sería la entrada para el parque, también vimos las canchas que tiene el parque.

It did not occur to me to climb on the rocks to get a better picture jajaj, but i liked the view, because behind those dense trees awaited more roads to explore. From here we could see that there was an entrance for vehicles, but we did not know where the entrance to the park would be, we also saw the playgrounds that the park has.

Vi que estaban jugando basquetbol, fútbol y ping pong y había mucha gente a la espera para jugar (llevando la pegada)

I saw that they were playing basketball, soccer and ping pong and there were a lot of people waiting to play (carrying the sticks).

Al otro lado de las canchas, esta zona me pareció increíble para jugar con un frisbee.

On the other side of the courts, i found this area amazing to play with a frisbee.

El parque es propicio para correr. Mientras lo recorríamos observé los carriles, supongo uno es un carril de ida y el otro de vuelta porque no vi ningún tipo de restricción o normativa mientras caminábamos. Lo cierto es que mi sobrino siempre llegaba primero a donde íbamos.

Mientras caminábamos mi hermana me contaba que siempre que podía venía a trotar con una amiga, me decía por donde solía meterse, cuáles eran sus recorridos y las rutinas que solían tener. Mientras me hablaba de esto, subíamos el Puente Independencia donde por casualidad unos Scouts estaban haciendo una parada. La pasarela unía El parque del Este con el parque de la Carlota o Parque Bolívar, aquí vi unas gradas instaladas, una avioneta donde venden helados, una fuente de sodas, un parque para los niños y lo que más disfruta las personas, una enorme laguna, también vi que siguen creando cosas por ejemplo hay un proyecto de cancha de béisbol.

The park is conducive to running. As we walked through it i observed the lanes, i guess one is an outbound lane and the other is a return lane because i didn't see any kind of restriction or regulation as we walked. The truth is that my nephew always got to where we were going first.

While we were walking my sister was telling me that whenever she could she would come jogging with a friend, she would tell me where she used to go, what their routes were and the routines they used to have. While she was telling me about this, we were going up the Independence Bridge where by chance some Scouts were making a stop. The walkway linked the Parque del Este with the Parque de la Carlota or Parque Bolivar, here i saw some bleachers installed, a small plane where they sell ice cream, a soda fountain, a park for children and what people enjoy the most, a huge lagoon, i also saw that they are still creating things, for example there is a project for a baseball field.

No recorrimos mucho esta zona del parque, porque había mucho sol y no queríamos que el bebé se asoleara demasiado.

De regreso por el camino de la pasarela y recorriendo otro camino, vimos otra laguna donde se puede navegar con pequeños barcos a pedal, hubo un lugar donde reposamos bajo los árboles y aprovechamos de cambiar al bebé y un poco más adelante nos encontramos con el barco Leander, en realidad una réplica del Leander el cual está en labores de restauración.

We didn't walk much in this area of the park, because there was a lot of sun and we didn't want the baby to get too much sun.

On the way back along the walkway and along another path, we saw another lagoon where you can navigate with small pedal boats, there was a place where we rested under the trees and we took the opportunity to change the baby and a little further on we found the Leander boat, actually a replica of the Leander which is under restoration work.

Luego de esta zona nos encontramos con los animales, monos, el jaguar, caimanes, tortugas, había otros, pero no los pudimos ver por porque en el trayecto nos encontramos con una fuente de soda donde decidimos comer y volver a descansar un poco, ya de aquí se nos empezó a hacer un poco tarde.

After this area we met the animals, monkeys, the jaguar, caimans, turtles, there were others, but we could not see them because on the way we found a soda fountain where we decided to eat and return to rest a little, and from here we started to get a little late.

Ya el momento de culminar el paseo se acercaba y quedamos maravillados por todo lo que ofrece el parque. En nuestro retorno, el panorama seguía siendo majestuoso. Recorriendo otro camino de regreso, nos encontramos con varios pájaros de muchas clases, búhos, guacamayas, águilas, tucanes, claro no mostraré todas las que vimos porque ya el post se va haciendo algo largo y también quiero animarlos a visitar el parque, si les cuento todo no van a tener ánimo de venir.

The time to finish the tour was approaching and we were amazed by all that the park had to offer. On our way back, the panorama was still majestic. Walking another way back, we found several birds of many kinds, owls, macaws, eagles, toucans, of course i will not show all the ones we saw because the post is getting a little long and i also want to encourage you to visit the park, if I tell you everything you will not be in the mood to come.

Bueno con estas últimas fotos despido mi recorrido por el parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda.

Es una gran experiencia poder disfrutar de este recorrido, se pueden desarrollar muchas actividades en él. Por ejemplo, las compañeras y amigas de mi hermana pudieron hacerle su baby shower en un especie de stan dentro del parque, hablaron con las personas del parque y fueron muy atentas en reservarle el espacio y de poner a su disposición un baño. Mi hermana estaba muy agradecida con ellos porque me decía que iba mucho al baño cuando estaba embarazada. Así que lo imagino como un buen lugar para celebrar un cumpleaños, una comida o simplemente un paseo con buena compañía.

Me quedé con las ganas de recorrer más del parque y de jugar ping pong en una de esas tantas mesas que habían. También me gustaría recorrer el parque en bicicleta. Tal vez en un futuro que esté de vuelta.

Well, with these last photos I say goodbye to my tour through the Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda Park.

It is a great experience to enjoy this tour, you can develop many activities in it. For example, my sister's companions and friends were able to give her a baby shower in a kind of stan inside the park, they talked to the people of the park and were very attentive to reserve the space and make available a bathroom. My sister was very grateful to them because she told me that she went to the bathroom a lot when she was pregnant. So I imagine it as a good place to celebrate a birthday, a meal or just a walk with good company.

I was looking forward to exploring more of the park and playing ping pong on one of the many tables there. I would also like to ride my bike around the park. Maybe in the future when I'm back.
