Empezó la temporada de uvas de playa en la Isla de Margarita[ESP-ENG]

Hola, querida comunidad de @hivemargarita Espero que estén teniendo un fin de semana lleno de Bendiciones desde nuestra Perla del Caribe.

Hoy quiero hablarles de una de las maravillas que tenemos en Playa el Agua. Si han caminado últimamente por la orilla de la playa, seguro habrán notado que el paisaje está rodeado de muchísimas matas de uva y estamos empezando la temporada. Ahorita, los racimos están verdecitos, pero es cuestión de poquitos días para que empiecen a madurar y se pongan de ese color rojito y morado tan característico. A mí, particularmente, esta fruta me encanta. Tiene un sabor agridulce que es muy sabroso, una combinación perfecta entre lo refrescante y lo tropical.

Pero no solo el fruto es especial; las hojas son bellas. Son grandes, redondas y súper resistentes, tanto que la gente las usa muchísimo para hacer decoraciones hermosas, en eventos playeros. Yo tengo mi propio ritual cuando voy a la playa, agarro una de esas hojas, la doblo con cuidado tipo conito, recojo mis uvitas bien maduras y me las voy comiendo en el camino. Es el acompañamiento perfecto mientras hago mis caminatas mañaneras o disfruto de un mágico atardecer margariteño.

Hago este post para mostrar estas bellezas a todas las personas que nos visitan y hacen vida en nuestra querida isla. La uva de playa es parte de nuestra identidad costera, un regalo de la naturaleza que adorna cada rincón de arena. Ojalá que quienes vengan pronto a nuestra hermosa Isla, puedan degustarla y vivir la experiencia de comerlas directo del árbol.

Today I want to tell you about one of the wonders we have in Playa el Agua. If you’ve been walking along the beach lately, you’ve surely noticed that the landscape is surrounded by lots of grape bushes, and we’re just starting the season. Right now, the clusters are still green, but it’s only a matter of a few days before they start to ripen and turn that characteristic reddish-purple color. Personally, I absolutely love this fruit. It has a delicious sweet-and-sour flavor—a perfect combination of refreshing and tropical.

But it’s not just the fruit that’s special; the leaves are beautiful, too. They’re large, round, and super sturdy—so much so that people use them all the time to make gorgeous decorations for beach events. I have my own little ritual when I go to the beach: I pick one of those leaves, carefully fold it into a cone shape, gather my ripe little grapes, and eat them along the way. It’s the perfect treat while I take my morning walks or enjoy a magical Margariteño sunset.

I’m writing this post to showcase these beauties to everyone who visits us and calls our beloved island home. The beach grape is part of our coastal identity—a gift from nature that adorns every corner of the sand. I hope that those who visit our beautiful island soon will get to taste them and experience eating them straight from the tree.
