*Hello, dear Hives! I sincerely hope you have a great week, filled with wonderful moments and lots of positive energy. Today I want to share something important with you, because I feel it’s necessary to reintroduce myself—both to those who’ve known me for years and to those who are just starting to read my posts.
I recently went through a rather unpleasant experience: my account was hacked. After six years of actively participating on this platform—sharing my travels, my landscapes, and a part of my life—I was unable to regain access to my account. It was a hard blow, not only because of the time I’d invested, but also because you never imagine that someone could take away something you built with dedication and love. People who engage in this kind of activity don’t just steal money or information; they also snatch away a part of our active life within this community, and that’s unsettling, painful, and forces us to reflect.
However, we learn from every experience, even the most bitter ones. This one wasn’t pleasant, but it did teach me a lesson: we must be more careful, more mindful of what we share, and of how we protect our account access. Even so, I won’t let this stop me. I won’t stop posting or showing you the beautiful landscapes of the island, because this community is part of my daily routine, my joy, and my way of connecting with the world.
So I’ll start over. My name is Tania González; I was born in Cuba and live on Margarita Island, a place that has welcomed me as my second home and given me unforgettable moments. I deeply love nature, crafts, and anything that allows me to create or appreciate beauty. In my life, my family has always been my top priority, followed by the work we do together.
My family in Venezuela isn't very large: here I have my husband, my son, and my father. In Cuba, I have my mom, my sister, my nephews and nieces, and other relatives who live in different places. Despite the distance, we all try to stay in touch, because family is that bond that never breaks, even when time and distance come between us.
Every morning I head out to work, and I always take a moment to observe the urban and natural landscapes around us. The island is diverse, ever-changing, and beautiful in every corner. I work at the family business my father founded many years ago, which my husband and I have since taken over with dedication and care. Our work takes us to different hotels and areas of the island, allowing us to enjoy incredible views while we go about our duties.
I’m writing this post because I want to thank my sister @lileisabel for always being there to offer me her unconditional support, and the great friends I’ve met on this wonderful platform:
@ediezpino and
@manuphoto. I’m also writing to let you know that I’ll continue sharing from this new account, created by my son
@rickstormrules, who insisted that I not stop writing to you all. Your support has helped me realize that there’s no challenge in the world that can’t be overcome if you face it with a positive attitude and the determination to keep moving forward.
@ediezpino y
@manuphoto.
I wish you all a wonderful week, full of light and happy moments. I'm sure mine will be, too.
See you soon.
Bye.
