Cerrando las vacaciones con broche de oro en una actividad en familia [ESP-ENG]

Hola a todos querida comunidad de @family&friends espero que estén teniendo una excelente semana. Hoy paso por aquí para saludarlos y quiero compartir con ustedes el increíble fin de semana que vivimos en familia. Ya estamos en la cuenta regresiva para que terminen las vacaciones y decidimos aprovechar cada segundo que nos queda antes de volver a la rutina de las alarmas y los uniformes.

Este fin de semana nos fuimos a acompañar a mi hijo Santiago a una competencia de atletismo muy especial. Les cuento que, aunque el orgullo nos llena, no fue tarea fácil. El calor y el sol aquí en la isla han estado muy intensos. Pero el calor no detuvo a Santiago. El primer día le tocó dar el todo por el todo en la prueba de 100 metros y el segundo día cerró con la competencia de los 200 metros. Verlo correr, dar su máximo esfuerzo en la pista y sobre todo, ver que le fue súper bien, fue una experiencia de lo más gratificante para él y para nosotros como papás.

Pero si les soy sincera, una de las cosas que más me conmovió y me llenó de satisfacción como madre fue ver el compañerismo que rodea a mi hijo. Me encantó ver cómo sus amigos, incluso aquellos que no les tocaba correr ese día, estuvieron ahí firmes para apoyarlo. Verlos dándole ánimos en la salida y celebrando con él en la llegada fue algo increíble. Es una Bendición inmensa saber que Santiago cuenta con personas tan lindas que lo aprecian muchísimo, un cariño que no solo se nota en la pista de atletismo, sino también en el colegio.

Este evento fue la manera perfecta de despedir estos meses de descanso. Cerramos con broche de oro las vacaciones, rodeados de deporte, verdaderas amistades y mucho amor familiar. Ahora nos toca cambiar el chip, porque ya el lunes empieza un nuevo ciclo escolar. Santiago entra a quinto año, lo que significa que el bachillerato ya es prácticamente una realidad y está a solo un paso de terminar esta gran etapa. Nos espera un año de retos y madurez, pero estamos listos para apoyarlo.

Hello everyone, dear @family&friends community—I hope you’re having a great week. I’m stopping by today to say hello and share with you the incredible weekend we had as a family. We’re already counting down until the end of summer break, so we decided to make the most of every second we have left before getting back into the routine of alarm clocks and school uniforms.

This weekend, we went to support my son Santiago at a very special track and field meet. I’ll tell you that, even though we’re bursting with pride, it wasn’t an easy task. The heat and sun here on the island have been intense. But the heat didn’t stop Santiago. On the first day, he had to give it his all in the 100-meter race, and on the second day, he wrapped things up with the 200-meter race. Watching him run, giving his all on the track, and above all, seeing how well he did, was an incredibly rewarding experience for him and for us as parents.

But to be honest, one of the things that moved me the most and filled me with satisfaction as a mother was seeing the camaraderie surrounding my son. I loved seeing how his friends—even those who weren’t running that day—were right there to support him. Seeing them cheer him on at the starting line and celebrate with him at the finish line was incredible. It’s an immense blessing to know that Santiago has such wonderful people in his life who care so deeply for him—a love that’s evident not only on the track but also at school.

This event was the perfect way to wrap up these months of break. We ended the vacation on a high note, surrounded by sports, true friendships, and lots of family love. Now it’s time to shift gears, because a new school year begins on Monday. Santiago is starting his fifth year of high school, which means graduation is practically a reality, and he’s just one step away from finishing this great chapter. A year of challenges and growth lies ahead, but we’re ready to support him.
