Would I approach my Steemitjourney in a different way?

try-try-again.jpg

It has been almost 18 month since I joined Steemit. I had my ups and downs here and in the next 18 months I will have more ups and downs.

There were sooo many posts about how to get follower, how to get upvotes or how to do anything.

I wrote some of those myself despite not being this successful. In fact many of those guides were written by Steemians which were not this successful.

I am not sure if they are not around anymore or if I got so bored of them my brain is blocking them but I dont see them anymore.

Anyways...don`t understand this as a guide to quick success and big $ here on Steemit. I am not the right person to ask those questions.

This is more myself rambling a bit about the times I enjoyed Steemit the most.

Yes the seemingly long long ago!

People were discussing if it is ok to self vote comments.

Randowhale was the only bot I knew of.

Communites were just around the corner ;-)

But somehow it felt more like a community. Maybe it was...

But actually I think I changed. I got lazy. Steemit is and in my opinion will always be a place where engagment and not only your content will be important.

Don`t get me wrong. Your content will always be important and is the door opener ( at least for most ) why people want to talk to you in the first place somewhat like a business card.

As I said, I got lazy and did not read or comment so much on other Steemians posts.

Commenting is not just, a form of apprication, it is also a form of showing that you are here as well. An advertising for yourself if you want. I assume we all know I don`t talk about the "nice post" comments.

Good stuff

The bulls were running and I was not concerned how I will pay for food, shelter, training or my visa. If you were holding any crypto your portfolio was just going up.

With that I was not this concerned about the number next to pending payouts but of course I enjoyed it when it was higher.

Steem was a late mover in the bullrun but it moved and even when it was at 3$ or the SBD went crazy everyone had some good earnings and therefore was in a good mood.

Now everything corrected so much ( for now ) it almost seemed the goose with the golden eggs got stolen.

We are all here to have a good time and earn some Steem, BTC, $ or whatever floats your boat but I am not sure if I was less focused on it or that I am a bit frustrated because I am not doing as well as before.

I was more active on the steem chat. I was talking to many Steemians off the chain.

I am still in some discords channels but rarely active. But back then it feeled like a tribe of people just having fun.

Everything was still new and exciting. Not only on Steemit but also my personal life.

I just moved to Thailand. I had so much to share which excited me.

Now it seems a bit like "Oh a pretty sunset on the beach, meeh saw it like a thousand times already".

Maybe Flipstar got too comfortable sums it up quite well....

I believe if I feel I am in a rut, it is my job to get me out of there again. Have done it before, was not easy but rewarding and probably I will have to do it in the future as well.

Anyway...

I will experiment with that dclick thing a bit, if you want to do me a favor just give it a click.
