The most incredibly photogenic and chill dragonfly I have ever met landed on me yesterday. It then proceeded to appear far less impressed with me than I with it. After sitting on my hand for a few minutes it moved on back to the creek 60ft/18m away. I looked through various books on insects and rummaged through some sites trying to match the coloring of it, but the best I can come up with is it being a "Skimmer".
