Today I managed to use my time to hunt for insects in a palm oil plantation. This is a palm oil plantation owned by one of the people in my village, but before entering here I had asked permission from the owner first, It's quite a large plantation, giving me plenty of opportunities to search for many interesting subjects to photograph.
Judging by its condition, this is most likely an old oil palm plantation, and the plantation itself also appeared to be somewhat overgrown and untidy. While I was exploring this plantation, I suddenly came across a fairly large water puddle. Of course, this was a great opportunity for me to find a variety of interesting insects around the puddle.
I felt quite happy when a small dragonfly flew in front of me, but I didn't know for sure what kind of dragonfly this was, but what was certain was that this dragonfly had quite an attractive color.
You know, one of the things that fascinates me most about dragonflies is their unique, transparent wings. If we take a closer look, we can see fine black lines running across the wings that resemble the veins in the human body.
At that moment, this dragonfly was resting on a leaf, and I managed to photograph it with my smartphone camera. However, it made me curious to capture it using a macro lens. That wasn't an easy task because I had to get much closer to the dragonfly. We never know what the result will be unless we try, so without wasting any more time,I immediately tried to photograph this dragonfly using a macro lens.
By using a macro lens, I was able to achieve a much sharper and clearer result. We can now see every detail of this dragonfly, from its large compound eyes and the fine textures of its body to the tiny hairs growing on various parts of its body and legs. It is truly an extraordinary beauty, revealing details that are often overlooked by the naked eye.
I also tried photographing this dragonfly from several different angles, and from the two photos above, we can clearly see that it has a pair of very large compound eyes that dominate almost its entire head. It also turns out that dragonflies have two antennae on their heads, although they are extremely short and can easily go unnoticed. This dragonfly gave me its best pose, and with the help of a macro lens, I was able to capture every remarkable detail.
I'm @riyat. See you again in my next post
