My boyfriend finds cooking and baking to be a relaxing process.
Such skill!
I am the opposite. I find making food of any kind of be a stress inducer. But! I really love eating, so I fully endorse @somebuttstuff in his culinary endeavours.
Christopher has had a rough couple of weeks. If you want to read a little bit about it you can fly over to his blog and check out Self Care in the Midst of Crisis Prevention and Intervention.
So, this weekend the goal was to fill our buckets.
Lately every time we've seen each other it's been on the move. Lots of going out for dinner, seeing friends, climbing, hiking and other generally exciting and fun activities. However, this can get to be too much sometimes so the plan this weekend was to try to have no plans. Or at least, no plans other than stay at home and do home stuff. We did have to go to the grocery store, but that was okay because that's where the ingredients to make food live.
He made me soup and bread. If that's not romance, I don't know what is.
This is how bread is born.
This is what Moe and I did while the bread was being made. Also, my phone camera kind of sucks. I think Christopher is going to post the pictures he took, which will be significantly better.
My favourite part of the night was when we sat on the floor together and watched the bread rise.
Here it is, all shiny and beautiful and ready to eat.
And this was breakfast this morning!
