This time I have made a drawing of the murderous machine known as the Terminator model T-800, I seem to remember that it had other manufacturing serials, this metal demon is one of the most terrifying characters of all time in the history of cinema, truly a machine from hell itself, capable of sowing terror to mercilessly annihilate its target. In the 1984 movie, he was the one who chased Sarah Connor to try to kill her on the orders of the AI of the future known as Skynet, these robots are the most advanced and are capable of imitating humans and copying them in everything, only dogs are capable to detect them. I have made a drawing portraying part of the metallic skeleton without human skin, without a doubt it is a human caravel but with certain modifications that make it look very terrifying, I hope you like it.
Hola que tal! espero que se encuentren muy bien amigos, estuve algunos días sin dibujar por estar enfermo de gripe pero ya me he ido recuperando y aquí estoy de nuevo para compartir un nuevo dibujo con ustedes. Esta vez he realizado un dibujo de la máquina asesina conocida como Terminator modelo T-800, creo recordar que tenía otros seriales de fabricación, este demonio de metal es uno de los personajes mas aterradores de todos los tiempos en la historia del cine, verdaderamente una máquina salida del mismo infierno, capaz de sembrar el terror para aniquilar sin piedad a su objetivo. En la película de 1984 fue quien persiguió a Sarah Connor para tratar de asesinarla por ordenes de la IA del futuro conocida como Skynet, estos robots son los más avanzados y son capaces de imitar a los humanos y copiarlos en todo, solamente los perros son capaces de detectarlos. He realizado un dibujo retratando parte del esqueleto metálico sin piel humana, sin duda es una calavera humana pero con ciertas modificaciones que la hacen lucir muy aterradora, espero que les guste.
PROCESS
I decided to do this drawing on black paper for the obvious reasons that the character is made of metal, and there is no better thing than black paper to highlight the chrome of the metal, so to do it I just used white pencils for it . Although these cybernetic organisms have a human appearance and also a skeleton similar to humans, it also has many variations, for example, on the chest it has a shasis, here the greatest strength of these robots is concentrated, which can move tons of weight without any problem, as well The skull, although it is similar to the skull of a man, has its variations, especially in the teeth, this seems to have a macabre smile, like the socket of the eyes, which have an evil expression. So I make the drawing following those specifications, little by little I am giving shape, adding the details and then filling in with color.
Decidí hacer este dibujo en papel negro por obvias razones de que el personaje es de metal, y no hay mejor cosa que el papel negro para resaltar el cromo del metal, así que para hacerlo no hice más que utilizar los lápices de color blanco para ello. Aunque estos organismos cibernéticos tienen apariencia humana y también un esqueleto similar a los humanos también tiene muchas variaciones, por ejemplo en le pecho posee un chasis, aquí se concentra la mayor fuerza de estos robots que pueden mover toneladas de pesó sin ningún problema, así también el cráneo, aunque es parecido al cráneo de un hombre tiene sus variaciones, especialmente en la dentadura, esta parece tener una sonrisa macabra, al igual que la cuenca de los ojos, que tienen una expresión malvada. Así que hago el dibujo siguiendo esas especificaciones, poco a poco voy dando forma agregando los detalles para luego rellenar de color.
When doing the entire skeleton I began to paint little by little, first of all the most illuminated place, which is the left part of the drawing, where the light reflection enters, from there towards the rest of the drawing the intensity of the color will decrease. This is like painting a mountain, that is, the terrain is uneven, since the robot has cables and other things that only shine from a distance by keeping certain shapes. So later with the white color of wax I begin to paint the part of the chrome that is not so strong, thus I trace the entire area of the left eye of the drawing towards the front part of the skull, respecting the lines that indicate where the parts meet of metal.
Al hacer todo el esqueleto comencé a pintar poco a poco, en primer lugar el lugar más iluminado que es la parte izquierda del dibujo, por donde entra el reflejo de luz, de ahí hacia el resto del dibujo la intensidad del color irá bajando. Esto es como pintar una montaña, es decir, el terreno es irregular, ya que el robot tiene cables y otras cosas que desde lejos solo brillan guardando ciertas formas. Así que después con el color blanco de cera comienzo a pintar la parte del cromo que no es tan fuerte, así voy trazando toda la zona del ojo izquierdo del dibujo hacia la parte frontal del cráneo, respetando las líneas que indican donde se unen las partes de metal.
Now I start to give more shine to that robotic skull, there is no place where the color does not go, I focus first of all on the front part of the head, making those metal folds and the crevices between them with black color, also with color I paint the nostrils and other areas black so that the chrome effect can be seen better. The most difficult part is in the jaw, since on the sides it has small hydraulic arms that make the jaw move and thus be able to speak. The chin is covered by a perforated metal, this part is also a bit difficult to paint without losing the way.
Ahora comienzo a darle mas brillo a ese cráneo robótico, no hay lugar donde no pase el color, me enfoco en primer lugar en la parte frontal de la cabeza, haciendo esos pliegues de metal y las hendiduras entre ellos con color negro, tambien con color negro pinto los orificios de la nariz y otras zonas para que pueda verse mejor el efecto cromo. La parte más dificil es en la mándibula, ya que a los lados tiene pequeños brazos hidráulicos que hacen mover la mándíbula y así poder hablar. El menton esta recubierto por un metal agujerado , esta parte también es un poco dificil de pintar sin perder el rumbo.
The next step is to draw and paint the teeth, it is the only part that is not metallic in these robots, a very interesting detail since Skynet made sure that they were very similar to humans, and robots having to speak and open their mouths their teeth would be exposed, so if they had brought them made of metal it would be very difficult to go unnoticed. I also continue to make the reflections of light better using the white charcoal pencil, so everywhere where necessary, to finish I made the reds, which I put a yellow base so that they do not remain completely red. In this way the T-800 was finished.
El siguiente paso es dibujar y pintar los dientes, es la única parte que no es metálica en estos robots, un detalle muy interesante ya que Skynet se aseguró que fueran muy parecidos a los humanos, y alos robots al tener que hablr y abrir su boca sus dientes quedaría descubiertos, así que si los hubieran traído de metal sería muy dificil pasar desapercibidos. También sigo haciendo mejor los reflejos de luz utilizando el lápiz de carboncillo blanco, asi por todas partes donde sea necesario, para finalizar hice los rojos, los cuales le puse una base de color amarillo para que no quedaran totalmente de color rojo. De esta manera quedo finalizado el T-800.
FINAL WORK
This is how the T-800 was finished on black cardboard, I think the chrome effect looks great, in the same way those menacing eyes also look great. Of so many movies that I have seen in my life, it is not difficult to realize the many references that the original 1984 film has, its parallelism with John Carpenter's Halloween 1 is unquestionable, in fact, it has a scene as a direct reference to Michael Myers, In the same way, it has other references such as Stanley Kubrick's The Shining and Steven Spielberg's in his first film The Duel from the 1970s, all horror films. Así quedo finalizado el T-800 en cartulina negra, creo que el efecto cromo luce muy bien, de la misma forma esos ojos amenazadores también lucen geniales. De tantas películas que he visto en mi vida no es dificil darse cuenta de las muchas referencia que tiene la cinta original de 1984, su paralelismo con Halloween 1 de Jhon Carpenter es indudable, de hecho, tiene una escena como referencia directa a Michael Myers, de la misma forma tiene otras referencias como El Resplandor de Stanley Kubrick y de Steven Spielberg en su primera película The Duel de la década de los 70, todas cintas de terror. Esto es lo mágico y lo hermoso del cine, por mi parte esto ha sido todo, espero que les haya gustado este dibujo, soy super fan de la saga Terminator y estoy seguro que mucho de ustedes también, me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad!
