After Monday's glorious skies, yesterday was wet and grey. And windy.
There was the odd ray of sun that broke through and which made for interesting light.
Both photos taken from my dest and whence late in the day, Princess Pearli held court.
There is likely to be snow under those clouds. When they eventually lift.
In the cold of winter, there are some things thay warm body and soul. One is traditional fish pie served with the first picking of the current crop of carrots
And, of course, peas.
Fish pie is real comfort food and I made three. One is destined for a local who is convalescing and being cared for by a daughter.
The daughter is a blessing, she tells me, but not a cook and a vegan. So, at the moment, when I do the menu and it's the type of meal that doesn't have to be just for two, I give her the option of placing an order.
PS: About the "Lady" Grey. Not only is it about the weather (and if I've not said so, I hate winter), it's a nod to McGregor's original mame after the then governor's wife.
