Practice what you preach.

It's incoherent to penalize people for the same act you are committing. It's bizarre that you want people to only follow what you tell them to do but you're not ready to practice what you preach. I think we have so many individuals with that negative mindset and I've seen how less of an achievement that behaviour brings to an organisation, a community or country at large.

Think about it this way; it makes absolute no sense to desire people to do to you what you can't do to them, or doing to people what you yourself don't want them to do to you. This is the many case of our government and some elites in high positions in the country. Some category of people have placed themselves above the rules and regulations governing the entire people. If there's a rule for everyone to follow, the exceptions should be stated clear to everyone as it shouldn't be in favour of nobody. I think it's rude to want to bypass rules and regulations for your selfish reasons.

We've seen many case where the law only works on the average citizen. When an average citizen breaks the same rule that an elite broke, the enforcing power on that average citizen is far different from that of the elite, it's more like the laws are made for only the average citizen.

Take for instance last weekend of every month which is supposed to be sanitation and clearing of dirt in various states, some people go as far as breaking the number rule of that day which is "No business centre or organisation should be seen operating in the early hours of that day" labour should reason immediately when these sanitations are over but that rule seems to work on only the average citizen. Rules are set to ensure orderliness because wherever there are no rules, there is no orderliness, they work hand in hand.

If a rule is set that people shouldn't litter the surroundings with dirts, every body should carry their refuses to a specific location to dump them. It's actually disheartening to see some calibres of humans disobey these paramount laws and order and when laws like this are tempered with, everybody will have to bare the consequences of treating malaria from mosquito bites or cholera from dirty water. Some rules aren't negotiable at all but the government and elite disbelieve in the motion of leadership by example. It's honestly a shameful act in my opinion.

Laws and order are meant to protect everyone, both the rich and poor, young and old but some people feel they can toil around with people's lives because of their high positions and achievements. No material thing should be equated with humans lives. Everybody that is guilty should be held accountable for their actions, no one is above the law and that should stick into people's skull. The law is not meant to favour just certain persons, it is for the benefit of everyone so obeying it is more like promoting your personal wellbeing.
