And that's a beautiful thing, freedom gives people the ability to explore and to bring out the best versions of themselves, whether in a positive or negative way.
In every country, there are rights that give people the liberty to enjoy their lives the way they want, but each right comes with a limitation; this is not necessarily because the government wants to control people, but to ensure orderliness.
People have different mindsets; not everyone has good intentions. Whereas one person is seeing a certain liberty as an opportunity to grow and thrive, another is seeing it as an avenue to do evil.
As much as I don't like saying this, it is a very sad reality that humans are very selfish in nature. Give them a little opportunity beyond the usual, and they will make sure they make you regret why you did it.
I love freedom, but honestly, man is not designed to live without laws. Apart from the societal rules, some people still set certain personal restrictions around their lives to prevent themselves from going too extreme.
Without boundaries, without laws, without rules, our society would be doomed. I can only imagine how terrible life would become. The disaster we are experiencing currently is going to be children's play compared to what would happen if there were no laws.
What many do not want to hear is the fact that there is no absolute freedom anywhere in the world. No matter your position, no matter your class, you must submit to one law or another that would definitely restrict some things in your life.
So, left to me, the concept of freedom is an illusion. It is one of the biggest legitimate scams of all time. Total freedom doesn't exist; it is just a formality captured on a piece of paper.
How can we say we are free when everything we do is regulated? Even what we often refer to as free will is usually influenced by the norms of our society.
The rules and regulations govern everything. For instance, you went to the market to buy something, and you don't want to use cash, probably one of your assets, you won't have what you desire because society is accustomed to using money to transact in the market.
Even though that's not your desire, you have to dance according to the tune because it is what is widely accepted in the community.
In my opinion, the only time we enjoy free will is when we are making personal decisions.
Outside of anything personal, our free will is of little to no value; the rules and regulations of society override everything else.
This may look bad to sentimental people, but, honestly, is it something good? If not, then our world is corrupt. Our laws are good and godly. They were carefully created to promote what is right and frown upon whatever is evil.
If only we would sincerely and genuinely observe them, our world would be a better place.
