Fiery roleplays Witcher 3 remastered part 2: The weirdest contract.
ll the screenshots are taken from the game Witcher 3 remastered that is created by CD PROJEKT RED. I did not create this game.
Last time we started playing this game again. This time on new game+. I also set a few rules for myself to make this let's play different from my first Let's play of the Witcher 3. So this time I will try to roleplay Geralt and chose what I think he would choose. And also I will try using photo mode a lot more in order to get better/ more unique images. The problem is photo mode doesn't work during cutscenes. I tried adding a mod to the game that would fix that but this did not work. So during cutscenes I will be taking regular screenshots with OBS instead of photos taken with photo mode.
Last time Geralt and his father/ mentor figure witcher Vesemir were looking for Geralt's love Yen. Along the way they helped a merchant who was attacked by griffin- we drove the beast away. The merchant then said that we may get some info about Yen in the nearby inn. In the inn we met a stranger called Gaunter O'Dimm(or Master Mirror). And he told that us Yen contacted local nilfgaardian garrison commander. After that Master Mirror disappeared.
I made a few personal jokes with a photo mode. In this part's cover image I added a troll as a suspect for burning a forge. I thought that it would be funny if no one would notice a huge troll burning down the forge. In another image I added Geralt's friend Dandelion next to the real culprite because in second Witcher game Dandelion was suspected of burning down a watch tower.
This time I asked some peasants about Yen but their info was just some rumors so we did not learn anything new. After that I spoke with a crazy scholar. He did not care about his own life and wanted to go to the front of war because he wanted to write a book about war. I gave him a solid professional advice: Don't be an idiot. It will get you killed- any soldier he will meet would slit his throat for his boots. But I don't think that this scholar was smart enough to take this advice to heart. So I considered him a dead man walking and was about to go my way. But then the scolar offered me to play a game of Gwent. I don't mind occasional small distraction. So I schooled the scholar in his own game.
Then I walked out of the inn three bandits were not happy about my presence in the village so I beat them up and left them lying in the dust. After that I heard someone shouting curses. It turns that the one shouting was local smith who was also a dwarf. Some asshole burned his forge dawn and the smith lost nearly everything he had. I agreed to look for arsonist. Soon enough I found his footprints and followed them using my mutated eyes. The tracks led me back to the village. There in one of the houses I found the arsonist. The fool tried to bribe me but I saw his hatred to other races as very dangerous and believed that he needs a sharp lesson. So I forced the arsonist to go to the smith and apologise for what he has done. Dwarf smith a bit overrated. He called the guards and gave them the arsonist. Then guards decided to just hang him. I guess this is my fault for trying to help people in need...swinging my swords in battle is perhaps more dangerous for me but also less complicated. Decisions like this weight on me- I can never be sure if I did the right thing or just choose one of two evils...
After that I had perhaps the weirdest job in all decades I spent as a witcher. I am used to slaying monsters or lifting curses. But this time was different. An old woman asked me to break the door into a hut and get her a pan that some man borrowed from her. Normally I don't work for free. But this time the task seemed really simple. It did not involve any risk to my life. Besides I have to admit that this story sounded so bizarre that it peaked my interest. So I broke the door with one of my witcher signs and went to look for this pan. We found it and turns out that some soldier used soot to write letter.
Then I went to see nilfgaardian garrison commander to ask him about Yen. But he was not willing to tell me anything for free. Instead he asked me to do some witcher work- to hunt down the griffin. Then I went to see the herbalist and asked her about her patient. It turns out that that patient was attacked by griffin and she was nearly dead. I gave herbalist a witcher potion-swallow. perhaps it will save her patient's life. Or perhaps it will just make her suffer more. Either way I done all I could so I will just hope for the best.
After that I met with hunter who found nilfgaardian soldiers who were killed by griffin. The hunter asked our help to kill some wild dogs. But we were too late before we killed them they had attacked another person. It turns out that hunter knew this victim from the past. The hunter did not want to talk about it but I was curious so I pressed him a little. Then hunter told us his sad story. He worked for some lord and loved lord's son. The person killed by wild dogs walked in on them and the hunter was driven out. His lover hang himself. A lord started drinking and his estate fell into ruins. After that the hunter showed me where he found the dead soldiers. I investigated the area. And found out that soldiers killed a female griffin and now male griffin is seeking revenge.
