Nunchucks seemed to be cooperative after she had entered his mind and shown him who she was and who she worked for and what they must do. He said nothing just followed her out of the office, told his secretary that he would be gone for the day and then indicated for Magenta to follow him.
He took her, not to the main elevator that led to all floors and the exit, but to a small elevator at the rear of the building. The panel had just two buttons: one for this floor and another just marked with an X.
Magenta smiled as Nunchucks pressed the button and the doors closed. Nunchucks said nothing as the elevator slide smoothly downwards. His expression was blank, he looked almost damaged.
Magenta gently reached out with her Power and touched his mind. He displayed what psychiatrists called "poverty of thought". In his case temporary, a shock reaction to what he had been shown.
Magenta made a note to watch him carefully. There was a risk that when the shock wore off he would become less cooperative and unpredictable.
