While joining the Hive blockchain, I didn't really see it as a space that could be fun and lively. If you were briefed on the rules and regulations of this space and how some actions or activities could get you on the wrong side of the experience here, you might have a similar view. Let's say, I knew it was a space that encouraged engagement, so there would be some form of interaction and connection.
However, I didn't think there would be things like games. From my time being here, I got to find out that there are games on the blockchain. Some were already there for a long time, and some came around recently or so. It all speaks to the diversity of the blockchain, not just in the people, topics or conversations, but even the things people could do. It also speaks to the work of developers in making the blockchain a more interesting and entertaining ecosystem.
There are things I got to know about Hive, and one of those is the games here. I knew of Splinterlands for a while, though I've never played it. I might do that someday. But what really introduced me to the games on Hive and had me even playing some was the project developed by 
There are several of them that I can't mention all. It's interesting to see that many games were added to the ones initially available when games were added to the project. The variety of options made it a go-to place for games on Hive. Is it a simple game, a not-so-simple one, a familiar one or a totally new one? There are many to find one that suits a user and should entertain them while also remaining active on the blockchain.
A nice and encouraging aspect of playing these games is that you can enjoy yourself, have some fun time and also earn from them. I think even if one feels they're wasting time, the rewards are compensation. Players can make blog posts about their battle experiences on the Splinterland game and earn good rewards. The games on Hivesuite also allow players to share results of their games simply and quickly as snaps with a click, earning rewards too.
Hivegrove is another game I recently came across. I've not played it either, but it seems interesting as others are always sharing it on snaps. It also has some reward offers. Hive games add flavour to the blockchain, making it entertaining and relaxing through the various games available. The games also connect users in some way, making the blockchain constantly active. I'm not really active in playing the games, but the few times were interesting.
