When I saw the prompt asking about games on Hive, I paused for a moment.
I told myself that there's more to explore in hive Blockchain.
And to be honest, I haven't played any game on Hive yet, and I think that's okay.
There is something refreshing about being able to say that honestly, especially as a newbie.I’m Still Finding My Feet. I’m still relatively new to the Hive ecosystem, and there is so much I am learning every day.
When I first joined Hive, my attention was mainly on writing, interacting with other people, discovering communities and understanding how this whole blockchain blogging world works.
Then I started noticing something else.
Games!
I have seen people talk about games on Hive, and one name that keeps appearing is Splinterlands.
From the posts I've come across, it seems to have a very active community, and I can see why it attracts people's attention. I am even a member of the splinterlands community.
But the funniest part is that,I have never played it. Not Splinterlands.Not even another Hive game.
One may be tempted to ask; why haven't you Played Yet?
Honestly, I think it is simply a matter of priorities.
Right now, I am concentrating on something that has become important to me on Hive ; building my blog and telling my stories.
I enjoy writing about my experiences, lessons, observations, relationships, teaching, culture and those little things in everyday life that often make us stop and think.
For me, Hive isn't just about earning rewards.
It is also about finding my voice.
I'm learning how to write better, connect with people, discover communities and become more consistent.
So for now, I'm putting my energy into that journey.
But I Haven't Ruled Games Out. I love playing games at my leisure time of course.
Not playing any Hive game yet doesn't mean I won't.
Actually, seeing people talk about Splinterlands and other Hive games has made me curious.
Maybe one day I'll decide to explore that side of Hive.
And when that happens, I suspect I'll be the person asking plenty of questions.
How does this work?
What am I supposed to do?
How do I get started?
And most importantly… am I going to lose terribly as a beginner?
Until then, I'll happily watch from the sidelines and learn from the experiences of those already playing.
Every Hive user doesn't have to experience the platform in exactly the same way.
Some people come for the games.
Some come for the communities.
Some come for the technology.
Some come for the earning opportunities.
And some of us come because we simply have stories to tell.
I'm here to tell mine. ✍️
Perhaps my favourite Hive game is still waiting for me to discover it.
But for now, my favourite activity on Hive is pretty obvious:
Writing, connecting and telling my stories; one post at a time.
And who knows?
Maybe someday, I'll write another post saying:
"Remember when I said I had never played a Hive game? Look at me now!"
Until then, I'm enjoying the journey.
