Social media has given you and I a voice, which is something commendable in many ways. But let's be honest, sometimes, that same voice we are happy about today may become dangerous when millions of people online decide to punish someone without verification.
A lot of the time, we see situations where people were accused online, wrong accusations, and only new information to come out later on and change the entire story. But you know what? The deed has been done; the damage is there already.
Personally, I believe people should be held accountable for their wrong actions, but I also believe that there should be limits to this. If someone is found guilty of a crime, let the right authorities verify and let the law take its course. If the person has done something wrong but it is not a criminal matter, maybe the person can be given room to amend his ways and be forgiven, because obviously, no one would like to be remembered only for terrible things he has done on earth.
There are so many incidents where people take decisions in haste without thinking and then because of that a particular person and his family have to suffer the consequences. Many times a person is guilty but why should his family members be punished for it because his family members did not ask him to commit the crime, it was his own personal choice but in such a situation if you harass his family members because of a particular person then it is also not a good thing.
And many times people lose their courage and take such decisions that a lot of tragedy happens around us. We should keep such things away from the society because all these things were made for our welfare but even now many people misuse them. And they use things as per their own calculations so that they can benefit in some way or the other.
people have started using social media a lot and along with use, social media has now become an important part of people's life. People can say anything through Right to Speak's right, but the biggest thing is that people had the right to speak in the society but people use this right a lot in social media.
It is being used in social media because neither you need to gather the public and take special time for it, just you need a medium to express your views even if you can express your point through the video or you can write anything and post it there and the public can see you.
The advantage of social media is that where your words can reach millions to millions of people in a few minutes and if your followers are more, the more people you talk to. You will see yourself, if you are using social media, then there you also see the posts of those people who you do not even follow and random many types of videos come out and a lot is seen which you do not want, still it comes to the fore and then it looks like a thing.
