Continuing my posts from a photoshoot at the TankSpace studios, this is another set this time with Lucille.
TankSpace is fairly unique in the UK in that it has a 12,000 litre tank with a perspex screen on one face where photographers can shoot the models in the water whilst remaining perfectly dry!
It's actually quite expensive to hire out TankSpace for the day at approx. £800 but when a group of friends get together then the whole day becomes much more economic and not to mention we all get some great images.
Jodie doesn't like red
One of my fellow photographers on the shoot was Jodie. Jodie, it seems doesn't like red. So with that in mind and with the friendly banter that exists amongst friends, we arranged for Lucille here to wave a piece of red fabric around in the tank!
Jodie preferred the pink
So once we were done with the red fabric, we switched to pink:
There's the red again....
Lucille and Lanina
One of the problems with doing a group photoshoot is remembering all the models' names. Lucille is on the left but I couldn't for the life of me remember who the other model was! She was working so hard at nailing the poses for quite a long time too! I am reliably informed it was Lanina, a subject for another post here on the Hive.
Lucille and the speckly pool
I was surprised on this shoot to find that there were so many speckles of lord only knows what it was floating in the tank. The models managed to remove bits of loose, stray fabric but that still left lots of what looks like illuminated dust. For these shots, I've been processing out the speckles but I've left this one less Photoshopped than the rest to show what I'm up against! I can't help but wonder if TankSpace needs some sort of filtration system...
About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
