(Throwback) The moment I saw my friend posted a 'Dragon boat race' π²π²π²π€π€π€ on Facebook, I knew I had to bring my kids to watch because they never heard or watched it before. πππ
So the following week Sunday, I brought my kids to the event. It was held at the usual place where I jog πββοΈπββοΈ and kids cycling π΄π»ββοΈπ΄πΌ.
The moment we reached there at 7:50pm, the event already started. The place was so crowded π¨βπ©βπ¦π¨βπ©βπ¦π¨βπ©βπ§π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦π¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦π¨βπ©βπ§βπ§π¨βπ¨βπ¦π¨βπ¨βπ§ and so many cars ππππππππ parked at the road stretches 4km!! π¬π¬π¬
The races was held in conjunction with 'Chinese Dumpling Festival'. Its supposed to be yearly event but it was stopped due to pandemic π§¬π§¬. Each team represent each Chinese ethnic. Since its an international level event, there are teams from other states as well.
My kids were excited with the dragon boat π²π²π₯οΈπ₯οΈ π€©π€©π. As for me, I haven't seen it for many many years. π π I was so surprised π²π² that the natives people were so excited as well.I thought there should be more Chinese attended it.
People even setup camping tents ποΈποΈποΈποΈ!! π²π² Not sure they overnight there or maybe just for a day.
Since the event covered large areas π³π³π³, we decided to walked πΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»around for a look ππ. We were surprised to see so many stalls were setup to sell dumpling!! Each stalls were from different Chinese ethnic and the taste of dumpling are different. Not just that, there were dumpling decoration competition πΊπΈπ΅οΈas well!! π²π²
We walked passed the contestant area and able to see they were doing warm up exercises πΆπ»ββοΈπΆββοΈπ§π§ββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»while another returned from competing. π€©π€©πͺπΌπͺπΌ
