Yes. I am also clinically diagnosed with chronic depression and paranoid schizophrenia for almost a decade.

My life was basically hell on earth because of chemical imbalances in my brain. So being dead was very attractive compared to living. I never knew that while suffering until I was rescued.

For many years I was figuring out why on earth I was chronically depressed because I don't face worse hardship like poverty stricken people or traumatised by war and death.

I completely lost my mind and can't remember what happened until my family rescued me to the psychiatric ward.

I survived because I had clinical intervention plus medications. So I am like those people with chronic disease that had to take pills daily just to continue living.

I want to tell the tale of my decade of recovery and the previous episodes of being off the rails out of reality, but I got not much time to narrate those times into an essay or something.

Long story short, I can function and reply to you here. Now, I have no intention to commit suicide because death is a mystery. Maybe dying and death can be worse than living the worse moment in life.

Just never loose hope and don't shy away from asking help if you are in trouble.
