Wake at night, cold and wet.
Is this puddle sweat or urine?
Sleep again? Maybe...
Comfort is a chase.
Time to wake, spasms and shakes.
No longer passive, focus on standing.
Arms outstretched, every step, a catch.
Controlled stumble to my goal.
Sight is decent, until the light.
Vision blurs, half my day gone.
Always thirsty. Mouth dry.
Food, hard to choke down.
Joints screech and muscles burn.
I have only begun the day.
Thinking crashes, the fog is thick.
But the pain persists.
Intamacy, now a memory...
And I've slipped.
But I try or I Die. So I try...
