No creation exists by mistake, there is a purpose to every creature whether known or yet unknown. For example, the smallest of insects has a unique role in the ecosystem and the more reason for biodiversity. Every human being quite differs from one another as we have unique traits, personalities & preferences even twins. The more reason for the institution of marriage & family to be given due attention & regard. Every child is born into a home and a family by design for proper raising of such to the becoming of a great person utilizing most of the natural or divine abilities.
No child can raise or figure out life by him or her self and hence, the need for parents, guardians & mentors who by discipline, diligence, consistency with patience rise up. The first discovery about the personality (strength, weakness, character etc) of a child starts from the home front even as by the parents. This is why children raised at home front with right parenting differs from those not raised at home. This is why parenting goes far beyond child bearing and the need to given the right attention.
However, guardians, mentors can help out for children who for one reason & another isn't raised well at home. Also, the government through schools via counselors & teachers are also vital to correctly discover & guide young ones to figure out right path to take for a bright future. Fairness can only result when a child has the right awareness, exposure, guide & nurturing early enough for a better future. No child outside these conditions can make right choices or be the very best in life & destiny as desired.
Time as said "is of ecence" and is one of life's greatest asset. Therefore, leaving a child to figure out the future alone is like not maximising times & seasons of life as one ought to. Hence, any investment in a child is a solid foundation for a greater future. For example, is not a joke when we see the children of some elites doing well in life, some serious investments must have gone into it.
The truth about life is that the earlier the better i.e. the earlier the child gets his or her footing right, the better it is. However, the irony lies in that the discovery of the right footing leading to future is only achievable by the collective efforts of the child, parents & others involved or connected with the child like government, schools, religious affliations, background and so on. It is good to know that the "future" is a series of guided steps on the right path haven been discovered.
Therefore, the future is a series of discoveries & alignment by all connected to the child & not solely for the child. Hence, we need to pay serious attention to family life and it's core responsibilities which will help in determining the right partner. Every child has a potential, the future belongs to the guided.
