It was a bright and beautiful morning on Thursday, 4th January, 2024 where the management and staffs of FEO Holdings gathered together as a way of kick starting the year where the top management team interacts with the staffs as a way of feedback, forecasting the year ahead and presentation of awards to outstanding staffs the previous year. This event is what every staff always look forward to and this was a conversation between some of the staffs earlier before the start of the event while sitting down gisting:
Mr Lawrence: Is good to be here once again
Mrs Smith: Yes o, I'm happy we all gathered here again
Miss Bukky: Wao, this is my first time experiencing this as i just joined the company late last year
Mr Wilson: Guys, who are you suspecting will win that most prestigious "Staff of the Year" award?
Mrs Smith: I'm thinking it can be Mr Fab, he really deserves it.
Mr Lawrence: Unarguably, Mr Fab is my choice aswell, his dilligence is highly commendable and worthy of emulation.
Miss Bukky: I quite agree with you all, from the little time i have spent here, i too can attest to this.
Mr Wilson: You all have well spoken and it will be a surprise if other, i give it to Mr Fab aswell.
The event got kick started and the program as lined-up were duely followed which includes the Chairman/CEO speech, dance display, casting for the year, merriments etc.
Thereafter, it was time to present the prestigious "Staff of the Year" award which is to be presented by the Chairman/CEO of FEO Holdings in person of High Chief Topson Hastrup. The Chairman gave some remarks about the award and criteria for selection based on fairness and equity, after much ado, he announced the winner of the award and to no surprise, it was Mr Fab that was announced the winner. With standing ovation, Mr Fab was called to the podium where he was presented with the award including the gifts attached to it. Thereafter, Mr Fab gave his acceptance speech where He dedicated the award to God, his family, his boss and all the staff. He mentioned that the award will spur him to do even more this new year and he looked forward to another more productive, dedicated, sacrificial and rewarding year in FEO Holdings.
At the end of the ceremony, he was interviewed by some journalist from the national TV because FEO Holdings is one of the best in the nation, here goes the interview:
Journalist: Congratulations Mr Fab, how do you feel?
Mr Fab: Thank you, i feel so great and fulfilled.
Journalist: Mr Fab, what are you looking forward to this year?
Mr Fab: As the going says: "To whom much is given, much is expected", i have awesome expectations this year to do more than i did last year. By the virtue of this award, I'm spurred to undertake more certifications and self developments to be able to perform more efficiently this brand new year.
Journalist: Thank you Mr Fab for your time
Mr Fab: Thank you for having me
Then i said to myself while reflecting after i got home on this success that i need to do more this year and drafted out a plan to achieve this. I believe it's going to be a great year for me with awesome expectations.
