What does life have to offer us anyways,
If not an honorable death?
In my search for knowledge, glory and immortality
I've found nothing but gaps,
gaps that needed to be filled.
For the more I knew, the more I wanted to know
and I discovered; there was no end to knowledge,
no end to wealth or skill.
And so I've decided to live the life of a lowly man.

And what does life have to offer us anyways?
As we're left to live,
"Fulfill our days"; they say
and before we know it;
we're old,
too old to even pick a book when it drops.
Memories then are all we're left with.
These we share with those closest to us,
our loved ones.

If only these memories could last forever,
and we could live each day twice
or even more.
But then in time these same memories vanish,
they vanish like the wind
after a storm, when the atmosphere is clear.
And myths do we become, Legends.
For as time goes by
the stories of our lives begin to change.

The gaps in our lives,
The things they don't know about us
become open for artistic manipulation.
Our lives are then filled,
Filled with blanks by unlawful infidels.
Our flaws, Our words,
Our thoughts, Our norms.
All of it just seem to change in time
and lies are then told in its place.

I sure will Pierce the heart of history.
I'll Pierce it with a slickery knife.
I'll show all the people
that He has no power over me.
My deeds will forever be
and generations will look up to me.
My deeds time will put a smile on my face
for I know what adventurous life I've lived
and it fills my heart with joy to know that I'll die happy.

An old friend of mine once thought
I was an ambitious fool;
That made too much plans inspite my young age.
Little did he know time waits for no man.
My thoughts are mixed and I'm unstable as the sea.
I don't know if death is honorable
or if perhaps I still have an unfinished calling.
But what does life have to offer us anyways
If not an honorable death?
