The quiet calm after an evening shower. The earth is thirsty and down here in Florida it seems the summer rains have arrived and the earth is happy. Surely there will be more to come. It's a balance down here. You want the wetland to stay wet and quench it's thirst but not too much because we're all right on the water table! Streets flood easily even after heavy rain for just a couple of hours.
As I drive on the barrier island after a rain the proof is plain to see. It won't take much for it all to wash away and be taken back
by the mother ocean. Water, giver of life, taker of life. The beauty, the beast, the teacher, the friend, the listener, the punisher, the nourisher. Good evening all or is it morning by you?
