We all have people in our life that no matter how often we see each other, always knew you had their back no matter what. And this is the story of our friendship. This started during the pandemic when I don't really expect it. We've been intending to meet for dinner or a coffee date for quite some time. If you've been following my previous blogs, you'll know that I met several of them during my rest day, and made me happy. So, going back, Maye asks if we want to go on a vacation together, and knowing that everyone is busy and has various work schedules, I propose that instead of organizing a vacation, we have dinner and get together first because we didn't get to see each other over the holiday. She was overjoyed and eager to meet because she was free for a week.

We understand that only a few of us agreed to have dinner on a Monday night. JL is fortunate since it is his day off, and I and Jenny are still working though, but we planned to meet at 5 or 6 p.m., which is excellent because we work typical working hours and finish at around 4:30 PM.

We chose the Manimogo location since it is close to the workplace and Mary recommended it because it is popular. I also blogged about my visit to this location if you have been following my blog. So, after work, Jenny waited for me for about an hour until I finished my shift, and then she gave them an update. Jl, on the other hand, is preparing while we prepare to walk down to the location. It took us approximately 10 minutes because we were taking our time because some of them were still preparing, so we knew we would still be waiting and seated while we waited for our table to get ready.

If you know me well, you will know that I despise waiting. Some of them are telling us that they will arrive at 6:15 PM, while Maye is taking her time because she lives too far away. So I waited patiently, and since JL arrived after a few minutes, we seized the opportunity to capture some good shots while Jenny complained about how hungry she is as I am too since we didn't have lunch that day. lol

So Mary arrived next, followed by Lou 20 minutes later. We felt so bad since the waiter kept asking if we were complete, as we reserved a table earlier and waited outside for an hour or so.
We decided to go inside and stop waiting because Maye was running late. We're disappointed because Maye can't make it to dinner, but what can we do? Things happen that we can't control. So we had a nice and fun dinner, and we had a lot of great time talking about a lot of random things and gossiping, just kidding. lol

We got home at 9 p.m., or at least JL and I did because Mary and Jenny had to go home after dropping us off at Starbucks because Jenny had work the next day. Indeed it was a great night, I can't wait until everyone is not busy and we can have that dinner and get-together we always wanted, just us complete.

PS: Some photos were taken from JL's and Jenny's phones
