I have never understood such people who work as photographers, and in their free time they do not take a single picture for themselves. It seems to me that this dry approach has nothing to do with creativity. This is the same as that an experienced chef cooks nothing at all at home.
Yes, I heard this from drivers who are sick of cars and in their free time they try not to drive themselves and have nothing to do with cars at all.
But all the same, I do not understand this approach. Either you are headlong into job, or find yourself another job in life that will appeal to you.
I also know a lot of people whose hobby directly intersects with earnings.
Of course, there can be one hobby (collecting something), but you can work in a factory.
But then it should not be such that after work you are unpleasant to talk about work. Change jobs and don't torture yourself!
I also have many other hobbies: I collect pocket calendars, keep a diary, fond of fat bikes, I love SUVs (the technical part of them) and cars in general.
I am interested in hydrology, geology and history (not human, but the history of the planet).
I also study philosophy, metaphysics.
I am also open to many other sciences and areas.
And now I am interested in stones, minerals and crystals. While I studying theory.
But I have never in my life had such a thing that after a busy day of photographing I would not want to take some interesting picture for myself.
I can sit for hours and watch the ripples in the water change depending on the direction and strength of the wind.
Or I can notice every day what density and structure the snow is today and how it depends on the air temperature.
This is my wide-angle worldview!
