The beginning of November in our region turned out to be rich in precipitation: heavy rain fell for several days and a lot of snow fell, which then melted. Because of this, local rivers overflowed and many areas were flooded. There were even evacuations of people from some settlements. That is, in early November there was a real anomalous flood in Vologda city, in the Vologda district, as well as in many other districts.
Currently, the water level in local rivers has already returned to normal, and all the consequences have been practically eliminated. I just want to share what I managed to capture.
My walk began from the embankment of the Vologda River, and in the same place, in principle, ended. Well, where else to photograph the river, if not on the waterfront?
In the center, the spill of the river in appearance does not seem intimidating.
Just think, the bushes hid slightly in the water. But in those days, in fact, everything was much more serious, only the elements showed themselves more on the outskirts of Vologda.
The worst thing is that a lot of water came before winter. Even if the water has departed, the soil is still very saturated with water and in winter it will freeze well! Because of this, perennials and fruit trees can be affected.
I wonder how things will be in spring in Veliky Ustyug, where Sukhona will frozen in high water? Although, I still find out one of the first - because I work in the regional media!
There is so much unknown and interesting ahead! For the sake of this, it was worth changing the place of residence! Most importantly, the principle of life and the nature of work have not changed.
