Street repeat is a separate trend in street photography, created by critics, which ridicules repetitive plots, cliches and monotony of the plot. Usually several different street photographers are taken and repeated locations, plots or similar topics are sought out from them.
I took one photographer, that is, myself, and began to look in my archive for what I myself repeat in different years, or at different times of the year I shoot in the same locations.
This does not always happen consciously, after viewing the archive, repetitions of himself are revealed.
Repetition is considered not only complete copying, but also the similarity of the creative approach.
But sometimes you are amazed at the detailed similarity and even the angle is the same. This indicates the cyclical nature of not only the creative process, but also the whole of life, including weather conditions.
Repeating yourself is neither good nor bad. It is ok. The main thing is that these repetitions should be once a year or less. If you notice that this happens too often, then it's worth thinking about. But that won't be a problem either. You need to figure out why the same stories steal your attention. What if this is some kind of message from the universe or an important sign?
I have both conscious repetitions: the view from the con, the view from the bridge, etc. But there are also those that I identify after a while. In the flow of photographing, when half a thousand pictures are obtained from a walk, you do not notice that you have repeated something somewhere.
This is also interesting for analysis, why does this place evoke a response in the mind?
On the one hand, I even like to find such patterns, since everything in our life is not accidental!
And this has nothing to do with the limited places for photographing. I have already said that this is infinity.
And repeating yourself in turn means something.
