Spring is my favorite season. Even summer is not as perceived as spring. My feelings are directly from anticipation and from expectation. In the spring, all people know that summer will come soon and this will make you feel good. And in the summer, I know that autumn will come soon and it will become a little sad.
Now I have almost erased all the seasonal distinctions and I love almost any weather condition. If there is no clouds in the sky and an empty sky, then I shoot without including the sky in the frame.
If it snows outside, then it’s just a miracle and I’m shooting scenes with falling snow!
If the weather is cloudy and gray, then this is an excellent weather condition for minimalistic plots with pastel colors. And so I can talk about any time of the year and the weather. Most importantly, I have a desire to shoot.
But spring is still the best season for me. Spring as it looks like autumn, but there is a main difference - it is the month of May!
About May, I once wrote that this is the best time to travel. The grass is just starting to turn green and not at all tall. There are no mosquitoes and horseflies, there are only ticks, from which if you protect yourself correctly, you can be protected.
April is similar to October. I also like him: everything around is gray-yellow-brown, which goes well with blue.
But summer is all green. The grass is green, the trees are green, the bushes are green...
Street photography is good in that it can be shot without the sky and it does not matter the weather. If you are a master, you can find any color you need.
Now I try to make the frame so that later I have to process it a little. I believe that this method is much closer to real photography. I went to this for a very long time.
Yes, this is the cost of reportage photographers for whom efficiency is important. They can shoot in jpeg and immediately send to the publication from the camera. I do it too, but for myself, I still shoot in RAW and process photos.
