Courtyard spaces among dilapidated housing can be very interesting in terms of spots, composition, color and texture.
Usually my dilapidated condition is associated with autumn or winter, and I know why.
It was at this time that he began to tightly capture neighborhoods with dilapidated housing.
And in spring and summer I stopped because of the white nights.
The fact is that in Veliky Ustyug, white nights manifest themselves even more strongly, since the city is north of Vologda.
And there, in the summer, street lighting is not turned on at night from mid-May to early August.
At least that was the case in the years when I was shooting the old housing.
And without street lighting, the atmosphere is not the same at all.
There are no problems with this in Vologda, and I did not stop documentary photography even in the summer.
See, everything is understandable...even our feelings, feelings, desires...
In posts about dilapidated housing, I want to explain what and how in fact, and not to talk about abstract philosophical topics.
In some places it is uncomfortable, but somewhere it is quite cozy.
Here is another section of the city explored.
There's so little left that it's enough for two walks.
I started my study of the city with dilapidated housing, and I will finish it with it.
There will, of course, be many suburbs, which will last for more than one year.
And if you take the whole region, then it's infinity...
Although I once also said the same about Vologda.
Kovyrino barracks are located on the outskirts of the city in its western part.
Very close to the industrial zone.
But this area is well developed, there are many new buildings.
Perhaps someday these houses will be demolished and stone high-rise buildings will be built in their place.
The newest modern kindergarten was recently built among the barracks.
Kovyrino has both a private sector and quarters with barracks.
I studied the private sector a little in winter.
There are a couple of places where houses have already been demolished, and there are a couple of houses that will disappear very soon.
There are also vacant lots where houses used to stand.
And on some places of the former barracks there are already new modern houses ..
There are also settled houses in which the lights are on.
Perhaps someone settled there illegally.
Or maybe someone has not yet managed to find another safe place to live.
