I recently read something interesting about photographers. Yes, I read it, but most importantly, I digested and realized. And I read about the personality.
It all started with an internal question to myself: why are some photographers interesting to me and others not?
There are many photographers who shoot very well, but I don't follow their work.
And all because I follow the personality of the photographer.
You can take pictures at least as great and cool, but if you have not formed as a person whose opinion could be interesting and meaningful to others, then very few people will follow your work.
"Your photos are simply amazing, but the only problem is that you are not known to anyone..."
Therefore, it is necessary to write, express your opinion, accompany your pictures with comments or stories.
There is a beautiful landscape, but without the story of how you shot it or how you got to the place, it will be a boring picture, of which there are millions.
But the story of a hard-to-reach place, even with photos on a smartphone, will be interesting.
It is difficult to tell about street photography, since these are the same places, the same creative techniques.
Here you can just talk about the atmosphere and feelings, or even on abstract topics.
The personality must be nurtured in itself constantly, but it is not necessary that it overflows over the edge.
You need to constantly belittle your achievements a little, be modest.
And the most important thing that will always be useful is an adequate natural curiosity.
You need to ask a lot of questions and look for answers to them.
Some answers may be of interest to others.
Or maybe your question will coincide with someone else's.
Everyone can learn to make just beautiful pictures, but your Self should be behind the picture.
To be continued..
