Every day, more and more buildings are being equipped with architectural lighting. I remember how it all started and how it shines now. It feels like you’re in some big, old city!
It became more interesting to shoot street and cityscape photos.
Earlier, I would have definitely done all of this in black and white with strong contrast.
Right now, I’m only interested in the color, although I didn’t specifically refuse to use black‑and‑white photography.
It happened on its own – I just stopped wanting black‑and‑white and don’t even think about monochrome anymore.
..I stopped doing a lot of things in photography: panoramas, collages, hard retouching, blackboard, vertical, non-standard cropping, frizlight, film...
I remember how, many years ago, I was waiting for the churches in Ustyug to “light up” with their illumination for the holidays.
Right now, I don’t like the lighting of the temples — due to the strong brightness difference, the architectural object always ends up overexposed.
Another matter is a slightly more sophisticated (or targeted) architectural lighting.
