I’ve been getting crafty this evening, wrapping all the Christmas gifts ready to go under the tree tomorrow evening. Though in reality I’m sure we are not getting the tree inside before the evening of 23th, and in Finland, we celebrate Christmas on the eve of the actual day, like everything else too, we can’t be bothered to wait until the 25th.
I’m usually wrapping presents on the last minutw and chucking everything into gift bags, but this year I spend some actual tome and effort in gift wrapping. I’m quite a traditionalist as you can see and I prefer simple over colours and glitter.
I’m not big on the fuss and hassle of Christmas that people start two months prior, but for about three days, I really love it. We have settled into a really nice and peaceful routine for our Christmas celebration with the family. Food, naps, sauna, food, a few gifts, chocolate, snacks and boardgames. Can’t wait.
