Don’t be fooled my northern friends, it’s still very much winter and that calls for nice hefty warm meals and don’t even think about stuffing away the puffer coats, mittens and beanies.
This delicious meal is a lasagna with one layer of zuccini, parmesan and feta for cheese, and made with moose meat. I think it turned out better than the lasagna I usually make.
In other news; if you’ve followed my Kitchen Aid painting chronicles part 1 and part 2 you might be interested to see the finished product. I didn’t think it necessary to do a third post about the subject so I’m chucking the update in here.
It ended up being quite the ordeal and many mistakes were made in the process. At the end we had to lightly sand the whole top, put one more layer of paint and then several layers of varnish and now it’s finally finished. I let it dry for two days before reassembling and now I’m still gonna wait at least a day before using the mixer. Very happy with the new paintjob as long as it stays put in use.
I’ll put the Kitchen Aid into good use over the weekend ’cause we have guests coming over and that’s the best excuse to make and bake treats.
Hmm what other nonsense should I add to this post as I’m too lazy to stare at the laptop screen today. I did run out to take some wintery pictures today when there was big fluffy snowflakes floating down in afternoon sun.
Today is my favourite day of the week, food delivery day. I order most of the groceries straight to the doorsteps because I hate food shopping and it’s much easier to plan meals and make sure everything is on the list when you do it from home. Online shopping is always way more fun than going to the store anyways.
