The Terminal, from my experience and understanding is my go-to one-stop solution and encyclopedia for newbies on Hive. Well, entering my 3rd month now, I am still seeking The Terminal's advice and assistance. Essentially, everything and anything you would like to know about or on Hive, you can get the answers here in a timely manner for free. Well, when they say nothing in life is for free, in this case, it is not true as the friendship, advice, support and knowledge you gain from The Terminal is free and shared with the people within The Terminal out of goodwill and the spirit of helping one another on Hive.
I was lost, unsure and took much time to search and read up on the how, where and what on Hive as well as performed many trials and errors before joining The Terminal. Now, I still perform my own searches and reads but many things are made a whole lot easier when you have a friendly helpful group of people to assist in verifying and clarifying contents or information that might be confusing for me, not only as a newbie on Hive but to crypto/blockchain (I am sure there is some technical difference here, but I lump it together๐) world in general.
What is most valuable for me from The Terminal is the support; guidance/advice/pointing me in the right direction and delegation of Hive Power - as a newbie, many times, I will run out of resource credits ("RC") and I will not be able to do anything (nothing on Hive, thus, I will wait a day or so till the RC replenishes to continue. However, when I first logon to Hive, I stumbled upon the giftgiver.sitewhich was where I received my initial RC for seven days.
Due to its activeness, it almost feels like there is always someone there for you anytime of the day.๐ With different timezones and people from all around the world, I truly salute the team for their devotion, effort and commitment to onboard and help newbies (I believe they will help anyone but I specifically state newbies because I am one that have received help from The Terminal.) on Hive.
I successfully participated in the Hive Power Up Day with little hiccups and trial and errors, thanks to The Terminal. Naming only one of my most recent experiences.
That being said, like most organizations, committees, events, technology, etc., it is only as successful as the people running and in it. You can have a good brand name or technology, but it is only as good and successful (effective and efficient) as the people using and in it. Else, in my humble opinion, it will just be an avant-garde user interface with an unpleasant operating system and user experience.
The wonderful team of people that make The Terminal great as it is, from my experience and to my knowledge are (a.k.a kittypedia),
,
and
(super helpful, friendly and readily extends help even though we have never connected. Unless, just by being on The Terminal already means we are connected.๐๐
