The mistakes I made when I started on Hive.
Don’t Do This;
When I first joined Hive, I thought it was just a post and earn platform.
Yes, I was wright and, no, I was wrong too.
I wasted time, lost rewards, and almost gave up in my first 2 weeks.
If you’re new here or and still learning like myself, learn from my few mistakes so you don’t repeat them like myself.
Here are five mistakes I made when I started on Hive newly.
Posting for rewards only:
I chased trending tags and wrote what I thought would earn, not what I actually cared about and I nearly burnout in two weeks.
My lesson to you, post what you can talk about for 6 months, the rewards follow consistency.
Ignoring engagement:
I would post and disappear. No comments, no upvotes, no replies.
I didn’t know Hive is a community, not the regular Facebook or Instagram.
My advice to you dear latest newbies, spend at least 30 minutes daily, commenting on other people’s posts. Listen, 80% of my growth came from this.
Not using good tags: when you are not using good tags, then your target audience remains silent.
Remember, no niche equal to no audience.
My words to you, at least study hive and know when to use hive and try to use one broad tag plus three other specific tags.
Copying and reposting
I reposted my Facebook content word-for-word. It flopped.
Hive readers want original stories, lessons, and photos. Not emojis.
My take, write like you’re talking to a friend. Add your own photos if you can.
Checking my wallet every 5 minutes.
I was obsessed with HP and USD value. It killed my joy of writing.
Lesson, focus on value first. The rewards will come when you’re consistent. Consistency is key.
Now know this truth, Hive rewards patience. The people making it here are the ones who stayed, learned, and connected.
If you’re new, which of these mistakes are you making right now?
