Hoy elijo encender esa chispa interior.

ENGLISH

If I honestly examine my life, the area where I need to reignite my inner fire is physical exercise to improve my health. It is not about vanity or a superficial goal; it is about reclaiming energy, well-being, presence, and self-love. For a long time, I have known that physical activity does me good, yet I have found excuses: fatigue, a lack of time, daily obligations, stress, or simply the comfort of the familiar. Little by little, the fire that once drove me to take care of myself began to fade, and now I feel the need to stoke it once more.

source

I recognize that physical exercise is not merely a matter of the body. When I move, I also clear my mind, release tension, and remind myself that I am capable of honoring commitments to myself. Health is neither a luxury nor a task to be put off; it is the foundation upon which I build everything else. If my body weakens, my spirit feels it too; if my energy drops, my goals seem further out of reach. Therefore, reigniting this inner fire means choosing myself again—even in small doses—without waiting for the perfect day or ideal conditions.

The key question is: what small action can I take today to give momentum to the goal I have been putting off? The answer doesn't have to be grand. In fact, major transformations almost always begin with tiny steps. Today, I can put on my workout clothes and go for a fifteen-minute walk. I don't need to run, I don't need to sweat profusely, and I don't need to compare myself to anyone else. I simply need to open the door and get moving. That short walk might seem like a small thing, but it breaks inertia, gets the blood flowing, clears my mind, and restores the feeling that I can do it.

I can also complement that action with something just as simple: drinking a glass of water before heading out, doing five gentle stretches, or setting an alarm to remind myself that my health deserves a spot on my schedule. What matters isn't today's intensity, but the intention to do it again tomorrow. An inner fire isn't reignited by a single giant flame, but by steady sparks. Every time I choose to move—even just a little—I’m telling my body that I value it, and telling my mind that not all is lost.

I know there will be days when I don't want to do anything. There will be fatigue, bad weather, aches, busy schedules, and a thousand reasons to put it off until tomorrow. But I also know that waiting for the perfect moment of motivation is a trap. Motivation often arrives after you start, not before. That’s why my commitment today is simple: walk for fifteen minutes—without pressure, without guilt, and with gratitude. If I do that, I’ll have lit a small ember. If I repeat that action over several days, that ember will turn into a flame. source

Rekindling my inner fire for physical exercise means remembering that my health is my home and that I deserve to inhabit it with vitality. Today I take the first step: I get up, breathe, put on my shoes, and walk. Tomorrow I will add another minute, another block, another stretch. I will do it with patience, because the body appreciates consistency more than perfection. When the fire burns bright again, my health, mood, and self-esteem will improve. Today, I choose to ignite that inner spark.
