Crisp winter Sunday morning at Hochrindl. The plan was to have an easy run for 2 K on the road to the west, u-turn and back home. The outcome was ...
... running up the snowy hill, of course :)
Instead of turning back on the asphalt road I turned up and started running/quickly walking on the edge of the ski slope. The grip was firm enough and the pace was adequate.
Photo above shows the view from the top of the local hill towards another hill and the skiing area. Fantastic.
Do you notice the horizontal stick to the right, attached to the pole? It's the start gate for time measurement. Gratis :)
Running down easily the time was a minute and 34 seconds. Later, with the skies, I needed 24 seconds.
This mountain hut is called Zirbenhütte. Zirben is a sort of a pine tree, Pinus cembra, which is abundant in this area.
The hut is lovely when still void of tourists, isn't it?
It was a mixed weather day. Cloudy, snowy, sunny, a bit of everything. And the slopes were empty.
We loved it!
ervin-lemark just finished a 4.27km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped ervin-lemark burn 302.0 calories.
